Burners Without Borders: Burning Man Camp & Programming 2016
August 18, 2016
Burners Without Borders builds a theme camp each year in the Black Rock Desert as a physical manifestation of the values & work that we promote out in the world. In 2016 BWB-BRC is creating a conceptual “Cultural Relief Camp” based off of ideas that might prove viable in certain humanitarian situations, like perhaps Refugee Camps.
Come visit BWB-BRC for a variety of our program offerings:
‘Mobile Resource Unit’ (MRU):
In collaboration with Communitere, ReAllocate, The Gate & The Art Crawler BWB is creating a converted 20ft. container as a ready-to-go deployable Maker Space prototype. The space on playa will be equipped with a Laser Cutter, 3D Printer, Plotter Printer, Wood Tools, Electronic Tools, Hand Tools, A/V Equipment, and WiFi capabilities and be open for use to participants throughout the week.
There will be daily workshops in the container at 2p. Space will be limitted.
