Disaster Packs
A “Go Bag” or disaster pack is an essential, portable kit that contains basic items you may need in an emergency. In the event of a sudden disaster—such as a wildfire, earthquake, or severe storm—having a Go Bag prepared can make all the difference. These bags are designed to be easily grabbed at a moment’s notice, ensuring you have crucial supplies like water, non-perishable food, first-aid items, and important documents ready to go.
Why is a Go Bag Important?
In emergency situations, you may only have minutes to evacuate, and essential services could be unavailable. A well-prepared Go Bag allows you to respond quickly, providing you with the basics for survival, comfort, and communication until help arrives or until you’re able to reach a safe location. By preparing a Go Bag for each member of your household, you’re taking a proactive step in protecting yourself and your loved ones, increasing your resilience and readiness for whatever may come.
What to Include in Your Go Bag
Your Go Bag should include essentials such as:
• Non-perishable food, water and/or simple water filtration system
• Basic first-aid supplies
• Flashlight and batteries
• Copies of important documents
• Multi-tool and hygiene items
• Emergency cash and contact information
A Go Bag isn’t just about being prepared—it’s about peace of mind, knowing you’re ready to handle unexpected events with confidence.
