BWB Alberta, Calgary (Canada)
BWB Alberta has been activating the Burner community in Alberta for over a decade. We plan and organize group volunteer events that support non-profit organizations in our city. We consistently do everything from cleaning-up trash, sorting donations, and serving meals to those experiencing homelessness.
In 2020 we could not have in person events so we thought outside the box and started the Burner Buddy Initiative! This helped people in our community reconnect with one another online during the holidays. We have also fundraised for local food banks, and veterans legions as well as the women’s shelter. Our chapter takes pride in serving our local community, and in supporting existing charitable organizations!
Anyone can party, but it is another thing to come together consistently in the default world and choose to live and uphold our principles and values with actions. The BWB Alberta Chapter is a reflection of the strength of our community and what we can accomplish together!
