BWB Washington State (USA)
BURNERS WITHOUT BORDERS WASHINGTON
Our group has been actively involved in doing impact work as far back as 2005 when we coordinated tools and supplies sent to Seattle Burners and campmates that went straight from Burning Man to NOLA after Hurricane Katrina.
BWB WA has been hard at work in 2021/22 supporting fundraisers for local arts organizations, cleaning up our adopted Seattle street, running a clean-up day at an animal rescue/therapy farm recovering from windstorm damage, kicking out some invasive species taking over a park and generally keeping heads up and not dying of plague… too much. We also helped The United Way with an innovative virtual event to help get hygiene supplies kits to the homeless.
Throughout 2021, we were BWB S, with a focus on Seattle.
In 2022, we rebranded as BWB WA and have adjusted to become more inclusive and to shepherd the many helping hands all around our state! If you live in the state of Washington- please reach out!
BWB WA prides itself on accomplishing a lot with very little money by leveraging the power of people and innovative problem solving while having a great time!

How We Got Started In late 2010, disaster hit a family in our…
We rallied the community and asked for a miracle. Every single item we asked for was found for the kids. We set up a costume station complete with four large moving boxes full of costumes in every size, every accessory you can imagine, colored hair spray and face paint. There was a 10×10 pop up…
This was a challenging and back breaking day. We built platforms to raise the tents off the ground belonging to the homeless people who live there. We covered them in plastic and created awnings to keep the tents dry. We used pallets and wood donated by the community. We took down and rebuilt a structure…
