Canberra has the second highest median house prices in Australia after Sydney. Stable housing and buying a house to live in is a pipe dream for most young people and many who find themselves in the lower socio-economic bracket. This grant will support a one-day symposium on Cohousing to spread the word about this sustainable, connecting model of housing which addresses the issues we as a society are facing – loneliness, isolation, and growing mental health concerns like anxiety and depression.
