BWB Volunteers Making an Impact Louisiana Flood Relief
September 29, 2016
Life Church in East Baton Rouge opened their arms and hearts to us and the community. They are the last distribution center that is still open, and they receive trucks of donated goods a few times a week. We helped organize the warehouse and distribute goods to people that needed them.
East Baton Rouge and eight surrounding parishes took floodwater in 31% of the homes. Couches, carpets, household goods, sheetrock and insulation line the roads. Huge cranes come by with a one story and a half dump bin to remove it. In the worse case, people are sleeping in tents outside their mobile home or house.
Our faith in humanity is restored, has a healthy glow as a result of meeting and working with these truly good, generous people. Thank you BWB for making this happen!!
