Burners Without Borders Sacramento, in conjunction with Sacramento Valley Spark, conducted its quarterly LNT event this month at William Chorley Park & Disc Golf Course. Not only was the park in desperate need of a clean up, our online promotion caught the attention of one of the park’s leadership team, who came out to see what we were doing.
Modesto Ravina said, “I just love all the volunteers that showed up to help out and pick up trash. It takes us as a community to keep this park clean and going and we appreciate you – thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
Moop Your City began with a small grant from Burners Without Borders and has become a regularly featured event in Sacramento. The team is considering going back to William Chorley Park in the spring, inviting people to play as we clean.
