The Germinator
Have you noticed that every aspect of human development and life itself relies on Water?
BWB Colombia is excited to introduce our third Latin America project! An environmental initiative that seeks to grow thousands of native plants to restore our threatened mountains and “Páramos”, tropical water–generating ecosystems located in high altitude Andes Mountains.
“The Germinator” is a plant nursery project that seeks to grow, restore, and make our
communities be conscious about this amazing and unique ecosystem. More than 36 million Colombians depend on Páramos.
We team up with Ancestral Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to nature restoration and sustainable development. Rural communities adjacent to Chingaza’s Páramo, located 1.5 hours from Bogotá, will benefit from our project. We will kick things off on April 30, 2023 with the voluntary seed of 100 native trees to restore Ancestral natural reserve in Chingaza. We’ll pursue a commercial strategy based on nature activities to achieve the required collaboration and funding we need to begin our Germinator construction!
